Soundwave was killed in battle with Broadcast on the planet Master, however he was repaired and his technology upgraded. An expansion unit has been added to his chest allowing him to play multiple cassettes simultaneously. This in turn has enhanced his conventional method for electronic warfare using the Cassetterons for sabotage. Has an intense rivalry with Twincast and intends to bring his adversary's Cassettebots over to his control.
