MD-01 | Megatron | Released December 2002. Transforms into a green H-Tank. Features minor paint differences from Hasbro's version. Micron Partner: Barrel, an artillery truck. Features the same electronic lights and sounds as Hasbro's version but speaks the phrase 「喰らえ、コンボイ!」 "Eat this Convoy!. The Micron port on the tank turret flips out missile launchers, this has been remoulded in Takara's version so it will not drain the batteries. Pulling back the tank barrel will fire the missile. The left hand side of the tank has a pull out section which can store / capture Microns and the right hand side has a pull out ramp section. The front side of the tank has flip out sections and a landing / launching section. In robot mode there is a G1 homage to the original Megatron where the tank barrel rests at his hip. Ironhide has a second mode of an anti-aircraft cannon and has a seat where Search can sit. Pulling the tail trigger will mode the gun section on Cannon's cockpit. In robot mode you can detach the rotor blades and use them as a weapon. Although this is not a Destron the colours pay homage to the 1985 Constructicons, as well as its name being Devastar (Devastator). Rolling the robot mode on the ground makes the legs "walk" with an electronic stomping sound effect. Activating the Micron port will fire a missile from his right hip.
